W.G.K.A (Founder : Shihan SUBHENDU RAY started their journey with the TRADITIONAL FULL CONTACT KARATE from the year 1981. At the time W.G.K.A hadn’t any Affiliation/Govt. Registration. Actually at that time those were not essential. In the year 1991 W.G.K.A took AFFILIATION from the WORLD KARATE ASSOCIATION who were the Worldwide Promoter of the FULL CONTACT KARATE. 1991 TO 1999 W.G.K.A Organised & also Participated in the different STATE/NATIONAL Tournament with the roaring Success. After organising a lot of State Tournament, on the year 1999, W.G.K.A organised NATIONAL KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP with a Huge Success. During that time SPORTS KARATE was taking place in the Indian Karate Arena. So W.G.K.A felt a serious need to start Sports Karate along with the Traditional Karate. So in the year 2000-2001, they started their ‘Sports Karate Journey’ under the banner of the ALL INDIA KARATE-DO FEDERATION (A.I.K.F). From that time, W.G.K.A started Sports Karate Training at their different branches & started to attend tournaments all over the India. During the year 2012-2013 some ‘Senior Officials’ resigned from the A.I.K.F & started a “New National Federation” named KARATE ASSOCIATION OF INDIA (K.A.I). In the year 2018, W.G.K.A joined K.A.I.
After joining the K.A.I, all over the year W.G.K.A attending a lot of District, State, National Style Tournaments with the Glorious Success countinously. On the year 2017-2018 all time best success happened when W.G.K.A made their National Federation (ALL INDIA NAHA-TE GOJU-RYU KARATE-DO FEDERATION) with the auspicious & powerful help of Shihan SADHAN CH. LOHAR. After that A.I.N.G.K.F achieved the International Affiliation from the JAPAN INTERNATIONAL KARATE-DO KOBU-DO INSTITUTE YUZEN-BUDOKAI GOJU-RYU under the auspicious supervision of the Goju-Legend Master KAZUNORI OMOTO (9th Dan – JAPAN). After this Powerful Affilation, W.G.K.A is now the Ruling Position in the West Bengal. A lot of International Tournaments awaiting for W.G.K.A. So be ready to make the History with W.G.K.A.
